Surname: Creason
-------------------------
I'm just starting my search for Albert Daily Creason from Kokomo, IN 1870-1960,
married Minnie Mae Norton (2 children William Caleb and Lilly Mae) she
died and he married Lenora ? and had 5 more (Nellie, Jessie Belle, Benjamin
Franklin, Rebecca, Tommy). Albert Daily was the son of Albin (not sure
on the spelling) Daily Creason 1850-1913 who married Elijah Hughes (children
were Burton, Rosetta, Luther, Charles). That's as far as I can go back.
I think Albert Daily must have been a brother to Albin Daily. My father
(son of William Caleb) has a picture of 3 brothers and on the back is says
the 3 Daily's. I know Albert Daily went by Daily (not Albert) but I don't
know who the other 2 Daily's would be (possilby Alfred???) I can't find
where Alfred would be a brother to Albert... however he may be a brother
to Albin. Can you shed any light on this for me. Thanks for your help.
Perhaps George Rector and his wife Nancy Atkinson came to Clay Co. about 1820
because he Atkinson relatives were there. Her father was Millitan Atkinso and
they all came from Montgomery Co. Virginia. Barb

Well, we finally made a trip to Brazil last Tuesday, but didn't get to my
grandmother's house. We DID make it to the genealogy room at the Clay
County Library and found some additional information on Savannah Atkinson.
According to the records that we found, she was listed as both Susanna,
Savanah and Savanna. They list her parents as John Atkinson and Mary J.
Welkey. She married Edward Frederick Peter Carl Mitscher on May 7, 1893.
We believe that we found a death record of her father John Atkinson on July
28, 1903 at the age of 59 in Brazil, meaning that he was born in either 1843
or 1844.
We did find a record of a John Atkinson in the Encyclopedic Directory of
Clay County, Indiana, which says that John was a miner, owned his home, was
born in 1843 in England and moved to Clay County in 1886.

Surname: Mace
-------------------------
The Mace family lived on the border of Putnam Clay counties
in Indiana.. Isaac and Delany Mace were the beginnings
their daughter Mary Jane married John Modesitt - you might
ry Modesitt surname for information.. also there was a
Opal Butler who married Lewis Mace. The Mace cemetery
is located on the Putnam side of the line but back up a
field... going south out of Reelsville. there is an
arch over the entrance but it sets back off the road a
little and very hard to see unless you are going from
clay county to putnam county coming the other way you
will miss the entrance as it is off the road..there are
trees around the entrance and a gate.. or at least that
is the shape when I was past it last .. Lew and Opal
had a daughter that does genealogy down around New Albany
Indiana -- you might try a query in that area...It has been
years since I had contact with her.. Mary Jane is buried
in Rhule Cemetery in Clay County ...

Looking for some family who lived on the border btwn Clay and Putnam counties.
Edward Johnson (b. 1861) was the second husband of Ella Mace. Ella's first
husband was apparently named Mace, as I recently found a reference to her
daughter Effie Matkins marrying Charles Mullinix. I believe Effie also
went by the name Hulda. She had a full sister, Minnie, who was listed as
Mrs. Reynolds is 1935, and two half sisters Ibbie (first husband ? Butler;
second husband Charles Fowler) and Irene (m. John Reuther and moved to
IL)
Fred now has the final township of Van Buren Dist. #24 on-line now.
I'm working on the final township, Washington, of the 1900 census.

Did I ever answer your reply to my query? I am now looking at the family
of James Yocum:
1850 - Clay Co
James 43; Eliza 40; Delila 22; Jane 18; Elzyna 15; Matilda 14; George 12;
Eliza 10; Mary 8; Darrus 1
The age for Matilda fits my Matilda Yocum who married William Joseph Cashat.
[Kashatt on marriage record] They moved from Clay Co IN to Coles Co, IL
I was looking at all of the Yocum's on the 1850 census. Has anyone connected
a relationship between any of them? George age 66 could be the father of
some of them in their 40's?
