Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
The reason I asked about the date, was that I was reading the 1910 census
today for Harrison Twp., and I found dates for January 6, thru May 7! So why
not get started a little early?

I too have to thank whoever put up the 1900 Census. Although I did not think
there were any more of my kin still in Clay County in 1900, I decided to look
and see. I too was surprised to find my husband's Great Grandfather, Andrew
Jackson McNamar, listed with his son James. The real surprise was that all
sources I had up til then had his death about 1882 and I had never thought to
look for him in 1900 and in a township he had not lived in before. Now I
have some more research to do.
Pat Dallas.
thanks

William..
One time that happen to me...and lo behold...I found out that I was looking
at the father instead of the son...we thought that the father stayed in
England..to my surprise when the light bulb came on..couldn't wait to call a
cousin long distance and she went up there to look at the records..to
verifiy it..We were both surprised. She been researching much longer than I
had...it just never occured to us that the father came to America (they had
the same first names)..

Bill Strahle: Are your Strahle family originally from Germany? The reason
I asked is when we were stationed there in A'Burg, Germany we had German
friends with that last name only they spelled it with an O instead of
the A and we were told that before WWII they were known as Von Strohle.

To whomever put up the 1900 Clay Co Census, my heartfelt thanks. It did raise an eyebrow, though. I have a photograph of the tombstone for Calvin Mattox with the date Dec 23, 1899 as the date of death. Imagine my surprise when I find him listed in the 1900 census! Just who do you believe these days...*laugh* So, I placed his census record in my computer file after his death date...
Anyway, thanks again...

their brothers and sisters.
Ferdinand was the son of Abijah DONHAM (1812-1864, son of William DONHAM
