Surname: HARDY, HARRIS, WALLACE
-------------------------
Hi Fred,
My grandfather was first married to Alice Hardy, on November 11, 1891.
Alice died July 2, 1911 in Clay County, Indiana. About 1912-13 he is believed
he married a Maud(e) Harris, and they too lived in Clay County, Indiana.
Maude(e) died of Flu from what I know, November 9, 1918. My grandfather's
name was William L. Wallace, a coal miner and mine boss for the McIntosh
Coal Mines.
Several children were born to this Wallace Family, including some from
each wife.
If you should have any information on the "HARRIS" side of this family...I
would like to hear from you.

Surname: James, Sowers
-------------------------
Part of my ancestors lived in and around Clay County. My maternal grandfather,
Floyd James Henry (1886-1947) was the son of James R. Henry and Emma Helen
James. Emma would have been born about 1866. I haven't done much checking
on this line of the family, so I have no further information about her.
James R. Henry was the son of William C. Henry and Jemima Ann Storey. Incidentally,
Lillian Haughee, daughter of Presley Haughee and Eliza Anna Johnson, married
a Glen Sowers. Don't know if there is any connection, but it is worth a
look, right? Keep searching. Best regards,
Charlie

Surname: Bilderback, Tribble
-------------------------
Are you talking about the Jacob Bilderback b. abt 1802 in KY and d. in
Camden Co, MO? He married Mrs. Mary Tribble, widow of Robert Tribble according
to "History of Clay County, Indiana" and census seems to back this up.
I am descended from Robert and Mary Tribble, but followed the Bilderback
line as Mary had children by Jacob. I think that Jacob's first wife may
have been Lettice Henry of Spencer Co, KY.
Jacob Bilderback's first wife died about the same time as Robert Tribble.
Jacob remarried to Robert's wife, Mary. I show no maiden name for Mary.
Jacob had by his first wife, William b. abt 1835, Thomas b. abt 1837, and
Lydia b. abt 1838. Jacob had by Mary, Mary b. 1841, Permelia A, b. abt
1843, Jacob b. Feb 1846, and Laura b. 1848. If you or anyone knows anything
else about this family, I would be to exchange info.

Surname: Murphy, Crabb, Williams
-------------------------
I am looking for a Peter Murphy. He was born in Ireland and settled some
time in Clay Co, IN. He married Anna Crabb on March 11, 1885 in Brazil.
Her parents were William Crabb and Eliza Williams. Any information on Peter
or the Williams side of the family is greatly appreciated.
There were at least 2 Michael Myers families in Clay County
in the early 1800's.
One was the Michael Myers who married Nancy West
and had sons Jacob, William and West. The West and West, Jr.
I believe went on farther out west.
The Michael Myers I am searching for married
Magdalena Molly Dutton. Both were from Wythe County, Virginia.
They had a total of 10 children, one of them being my gr grandfather
Michael Myers. These people lived in Sullivan, Vigo, then Clay County.
I find much information on the Dutton family but none on the Myers.
