Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
I would imagine, "not available"

To all Reed (by any spelling) Researchers,
My name is Nell Logue and I have a database of around 50,000 Reeds (by
any
spelling) and Kin. I am doing Look-ups for all interested researchers,
but I
need more Reed (by any spelling) information. Please submit your
information to
me to go in the Database. I would appreciate it very much and it will
help so
many other people. I am trying to get information from all over the USA
and
also foreign countries. After your information has been received and put
in the
Reed Database you may send in for Look-Ups on your Reeds (by any
spelling) that
perhaps someone else may have sent me.
Please send your information to me at Nelllogue(a)texoma.net
(Note the 3 'l's in the Nelll).
In the subject line please write Reed Information
If at all possible send your information in GEDCOM format, as I can
import it
right into the database. Text documents have to be typed in and take a
lot of
time. Your genealogy program manual will tell you how to export a
GEDCOM. Try
it. It is not difficult to do, but if, after your try it, you can not do
it,
then send your information any way you know how.
I am going to be taking a short rest period from the Look-Ups while
getting in
all of this new information and getting it in the Database. So when
everything
is ready to start the Look-Ups again I will put a message on the Reed
Genforum
at http://genforum.genealogy.com/reed/ and also on the Read Genforum at
http://genforum.genealogy.com/read/ and also on the Read List at
READ-L(a)Rootsweb.com <READ-L(a)rootsweb.com>. When you send in for a
Look-Up
please write Reed Look-Up in the subject line.
By the way, if you have books on Reeds (by any spelling) the information
from
those books would be great to go in the Database. They may contain the
one
ancestor that someone has been hunting.
I will be looking for your Reed information. Please help.
Nell
James Jackson was born 1831 in Decatur Co. He moved around quite a bit between Vigo, Owen and Clay counties. First and second wives were Bewely sisters. His third wife was Cynthia (Phipps) Fry, widow of William Fry of Clay Co. Am looking for information on where Cynthia died. Any information would be appreciated.
There where a couple of Moore families in Clay co. fairly early. David K.
Moore born in Kentucky who came to Clay co. about 1835. He is the son of
Jacob Moore of Posey twp. David married Dorinda McIntosh. Their children that
I have listed are Samuel, Franklin, David E., Ethel m. Underwood, Eliza m.
Wegner, Bertha m. Bell, Leatha m. Suster and Flora with no marriage listed.
Jacob himself lived a long life and had several children of shich Hannah m.
Loveall and Nancy Ann m. Patton were life long residents of Clay co. His
other children lived in other counties or later moved to other states. Thomas
of Dubois co., George W. of Lawrence co., and Reuben P. of Owen co later to
Jo Davies co Ill. According to the Clay co history book David moved to Mason
Co. Ill. and his sister Margret m, Widner moved to Douglas co. and unknown
daughter who married a Turner lived in Tazewell co.Ill, His daughter Sarah
Jane m. Mills and son Jocob Jackson Moore went with their families to
Missouri and from there by wagon train to Oregon.
Further there is a seperate Thomas L. Moore from Kentucky born about 1798. He
was in Clay by 1838 in Jackson twp. I know some about his family as I believe
he is related to my Zachariah born about 1824 in Kentucky. Thomas L. had
Louisa m. Cox, John (b. 1839) and Eli(1853), Enos(1833), Luviey(1835),
Job(1837). They also may have raised some grandchildren Gomery? Lousia and
Luviey may be the same person as the birth dates are close.
There is also a little later an Isaac Moore family but they are from Ohio and
there is no evidence of any relationship to the Kentucky Moores.
Now how Levi ties into these I don't know I suspect he was a brother or a
cousin to one or the other branches. I am currently trying to sort out who
was who to find where Zachariah ties in.
