Do you have the Brann bio from the 1884 Clay County history?

Gary, I have been gone a few days and don't see where anyone else answered you,
but I don't see any Brann in the Centerpoint Posey Township Cemetery book. The
people at Centerpoint are very good at helping when we go down there and I know
they do a lot of lookups of info for people. I have only been there a few
times, but found them to be very helpful. I am certain if you write them they
could find something for you if your family was in Clay County, IN. They don't
charge a lot for what you get either, not like a lot of other places do. You
can contact them at CLAY COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY, INC., PO Box 56, Center
Point, IN 47840. I guess you could tell them if you have a $ limit on what you
wanted to spend on information they wouldn't go over that on lookups for you.
They will send copies of birth, death, marriage, burial and other info. Hope
this helps.

During the progress of the Civil War, many of the soldiers, both officers and
privates, sent money home to their familiies and friends a portion, of the
moneys earned, etc. Money sent to Daniel A. Conover, the Bowling Green
druggist, in the month of April, 1862, by members of Co A 43rd Regiment.
W.D. Brann to Mathew Brann, Sr.
James A. Brann to Josiah Brann
Alfred Brann to Josiah Brann

If you are interested in purchasing William Travis, 1908 Vol 1 & 2
CLAY COUNTY HISTORY, you need to notify the CCGS Library that you want to be
placed on the list. It is out of print, and the library will need a lot of
us to purchase a copy if they reprint it! The last copies sold for $40 each.
They will probably have to sell for more now, but it is a good buy for those
of us who have several generations of family in the county.

Gary - The Clay Co. History Book is excellant - I like many have oodles of
family
from Clay Co. so it was worth the price. There is something in the book
about the
following:
Alfred, Daniel K., James, Jas. A., Josiah, Josiah W., Matthew, Nicholas J.,
Richard
W., Voris S., W.D., and William D.. Do any of these belong to you? Jan in
