Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Someone inquired about this organization back in the summer, I believe from
Vigo or Clay. See the attached message.

Hi Lori,
Sorry about the tardiness of the info you ask for, but there's been a lot
going on around here these days. I just didn't take the time to get back
to you. I'm
terrible sorry.
Here's what I have.
Phipps buried at Sanders Cemetery are Charles, Daisy, David, Donald E.,
E., Elizabeth, F. ?, Frank B., Wm. and Wm. H.
Sorry, there's no Moses in the cemetery records. That's no sign there
wasn't. Lots of tombstones and records missing. I've been up there. Much
empty space in the middle of grounds indicating graves are probably there.
Just no markers now.
Hope this is helpful.
Doris Louise
Lori, this came back. Something about my server and AOL. Have to call
NCCI Monday to see what's up. However, I write to Becky frequently, and
always get through.
I don't like answering online, but it's a way to get your answer to you.

At the 1947 Carpenter reunion in Brazil/Cloverland in late July, recognition was given to Donald Modesitt, Lt, USMC (died in service). He apparently died during the preceding year, not during the war. Also Mrs. Bernard Modesitt died during the previous year. These must be in-laws I know nothing of. Does anyone know how they are connected to the Carpenters?

If you are missing family members or have them suddenly show up in Kentucky
or Indiana this might be a clue.

I too have a photo I'd like to share - on the back of this old photo
my mother wrote "Jo and Wendall Kibbler" (their parents are our
cousins). I really don't know how yet and I looked up on the SSDI
and Wendall was born between 1900-1910 so the photo had to
have been taken about 1915. The little girl has long dark ringlet
curls - they're both darling looking children. If ANYONE is down
this line and can clue me in as to the relationship I'd be happy to
GIVE them the photo. Thank you - Jan Baldwin in OKC
Dear Brenda,
Even though none of the photos you mentioned have any relation to my
family, I just wanted to say I think it is wonderful that you are so willing
to share. One of the joys of searching through this family history has been
to find or share photos to put names with faces. I don't have many, but the
ones other "cousins" have shared are wonderful.
I like to walk through antique shops and it drives me crazy to see an old
photo album that isn't labeled with names, and wonder if that might be a
relative!
I just wanted to say it is great to see another person who is so willing to
share!

Bill,
If you will look in the Furry file at ccgs, I think you might find the
papers I put in there. I don't remember exactly what I put in that file
but I had done some research in Clay/Owen as well as over in Ohio. Jacob
Furry's Bible used to belong to me. It gave the dates of death for
Jacob's parents and Jacob's family. When Grandpa Orman died, my Aunt
sent me the Bible which I have now given to the oldest granddaughter of
Sophia Furry Orman Orman, Helen Staley Fleener of Franklin, Indiana. In
that old Redbush Cemetery, you can find Jacob and his parents plus
several others including Peter Ferry!

I have two 4x6" photos of "Dutch" Holbert of Brazil, Ind., which were
probably taken about 1930. Photographer on one is Eppert & Son, Terre Haute,
Ind.
He was an acquaintance of my Robison & Weaver families, and I'd like to give
them to someone in the Holbert family line. Can anyone help?
Brenda Robison
Indianapolis, IN
I have a 4x6 photo of a boy about 3-4 yrs old taken by City Gallery, Brazil,
Ind. He's sitting on a fur throw in a fancy wicker chair and holding a small
black puppy on his lap. Written on the back in pencil is "W E Small, Brazil,
Ind."
The photo was among my ROBISON & WEAVER pictures but I don't know how or if
W.E. Small is related. Can anyone help?
