Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
If there is a book - could you let me know I am trying to find my great

OK, good news: my mailing list is ready to roll. Briefly (very),
people can subscribe to our list in mail mode by sending a message
to NEELEY-L-request(a)rootsweb.com that contains the word
subscribe
and nothing else. If they prefer digest mode, they should send the
command instead to NEELEY-D-request(a)rootsweb.com. To unsubscribe,
they should send the command "unsubscribe" to
NEELEY-L-request(a)rootsweb.com
(if in mail mode) or NEELEY-D-request(a)rootsweb.com (if in digest mode.)
To switch from one mode to the other, they should unsubscribe from one
and then subscribe to the other. There is no "no mail" mode -- if they
want messages to stop, they should simply unsubscribe. (Suggestion:
use these commands to subscribe to NEELEY-L, as no one at all is
currently
subscribed, and then send a test message through. Take your list
for a test drive, in other words.)
To post to both NEELEY-L and NEELEY-D, messages should be sent to
NEELEY-L(a)rootsweb.com. Messages sent there will appear both places.

If you're missing a male ancestor that was born between
1830 and 1846, it's poosible that he was one of the nearly
460 Civil War soldiers aboard the Sultana steamship that
exploded on the Miss. River, 7 miles N of Memphis, TN on
27 APR 1865.
Indiana was exceeded only by Ohio and Tennessee for having
the most soldiers aboard. While 2 in 3 Hoosiers aboard survived
the ordeal, the rest never made it home.
You can search by surname for your ancestors at the following

HELP!
I am looking for the parents of Joseph and Jefferson J. BOTTS. Could it be
Joshua and Malinda that were in Clay Co. in 1850?
Jefferson J. BOTTS m. Mary Ann MOORE in Clay Co., IN on 4/8/1848.
Joseph m. Martha WHEELER in Clay Co., IN in 1842. I believe they lived in
Jackson Twp., but am not sure.
Would like to exchange information with anyone researching the BOTTS or
WHEELER families.

We have been having trouble here in Cumberland Co., TN with getting our
e-mails. Haven't heard from any of these lists for quite some time. Do I
need to re-subscribe?
Would the listowners contact me if I need to re-subscribe.
Thank you
Wanda

Hello Wanda,
I can't speak for any of the lists you mention except INCLAY. I am
subscribed and your message arrived here. Yours is the first message in
about two months, so I suspect that there just is no activity. Too bad.
