Lincoln Louden married Clara E Jamison 22June 1910 in Clark County, IN. He was white, 50
and never married before. His parents were Hiram Louden and Frances Jones. Clara Jamison
was white, no age given and had been married once before. It appears that her first
husband died in 1910. His parents were S. P. Kelley and Sarah A. Mathews. The biggest
problem is that you never know what his first name will be. When their daughter Marquerite
V. Louden married Earl L. Ware 17 Jan 1943, her father was listed as Lincoln Louden. When
their son William O. Louden married Mary Irene Greene 18 Feb 1950, his father was listed
as Marion F. Louden. In the 1880 census he is living at home and his name is Francis M.
Louden, 19, son of Hiram and Frances A. Louden.
There was another marriage with Kelly when Keith Lowdan married Lizzie Kelly 26 Nov 1893.
Same family?

My Francis Marion "Lincoln" Louden did marry your Clara Kelly. He was
born 15 Jul 1860 and died in 1941. On the 1900 census he is listed as living
with his brother, Thomas, being 39 and single. I have their son Woodrow
being born on 7 Mar 1913, so I expect they were married sometime between
1900 and 1913. I don't have the exact date.

Thank you for the information about Elizabeth "Fannie" Kelley and her
parents, Giles and Mary (Barrett) Kelley. I also find the
information about the Louden family interesting. Is the Francis
Marion Louden listed among the siblings of William Samuel Louden the
Marion "Lincoln" Louden who married Clara Kelly from my Kelly family?
If he is do you have any dates of birth or death for him or a
marriage date for them?
I have no information about Giles Kelley and have never seen that
name in connection with my Kelly family in Indiana although it is
possible there is some distant connection. Do you know where in
Kentucky Giles and his family lived before moving to Indiana? Of
course among the Ulster Scots of that period Kelly was a fairly
common name and many came down into Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and
Ohio and them north and west as more land was opened up.
I appreciate you sharing this information with me and I will
certainly let you know if i run across information about Giles and
his family.
