Hi Clark County Researchers,
I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have not called the health
department for any information, as I was told that I had to have a date
before they would do any searching for any documentation. I do not have
any dates on either side of my great great grandparents or great
grandparents deaths. All I have is approximately of when they died.
How else would I go about searching for their deaths? Is it true about
having a date before the health dept. would do a search? I can see why
they would if this is the case. I know newspapers need dates before
they lookup an obit, so this is out of the question for me.
Here is what I have:
Rudolph LAUSTERER died after his 50th anniversary in 1946. I was told
that same year.
Agnes (nee SAGE) LAUSTERER died about 1956-58.
Anna LAUSTERER (My great great grandmother) died about the late 1920's
and am not sure in Jeffersonville or Louisville, Ky.
My gggrandfather, William LAUSTERER, died in Louisville, Ky in 1900
before the census was taken that year-between Jan and June. (This info
came of the census of Jefferson County, Ky 1900). I have tried the Ky
site but their dates are from 1911.
Thank you all for reading my long email...I am thinking of making a trip
up there (I live in Memphis) but wanted to see if there is another route
that I could take that save on a trip to Indiana. Can anyone help or at
least send me in the right direction? Thank You. Take Care and
sincerely, Lorraine (LAUSTERER) Strohkirch
