Anyone have any info on a LYMAN PARKS in Utica, Indiana? I have kind of
inherited some pictures from a late cousin and one of them is of "Grandma
Parks".
Two of the women in my mother's family were known as "Parks" (given names),
in
tribute to this ancestor, but I don't have much on that line.
I sure would like to be able to put a name on Grandma Parks' picture. The
obituary for my cousin, Anana Parks Myers Hooper, who died 2/22/2003,
mentioned she was a "a descendant of Lyman Parks, one of the earliest settlers
of Utica".
Nana Parks' mother had a sister named Eliza Parks Bushfield Robertson. She
was always known to us as "Parks".
Parks' mother was Nancy Eleanor (Nannie) Howes Bushfield (1858-1912).
Nannie's mother was Eliza Jane Parks (1822-1894). Eliza Jane's father, I
suspect, was LYMAN PARKS. I found his burial record at Utica Cemetery, which
indicates he was born in 1805 and died in 1849.
Don't have a CLUE who Lyman Parks' wife was or the names of his other
children. Have you got any clues? I sure would like to put a name on this
woman's picture!
Thanks.
Lois
