Melanie:
I'm not CERTAIN, but it seems to me after perusing the database on
Ancestry.com that it may be incomplete. I couldn't find anything on
individuals I know were living in Jeffersonville Twp. (the most populated twp.
in the county) in Clark Co. in 1890. Tried a number of different names.
Perhaps that is why you are having a problem.
Granted, a lot of the entries leave the Twp. blank, which could explain this.
But I was also searching for their surnames and came up empty.
If you enter "Charlestown", for instance, 3110 entries are found. But I came
up with zip when searching on Monroe, Owen, Silver Creek, Union and Utica.
My suggestion to you is to minimize your search to a specific surname only (no
first names). Also, be sure to try all the various possible spellings and
MISspellings.
Lois

Subject: 1880 Indiana Clark Co., census
What do you use for the key word or name? I've tried everything
I can
think of, but only received
one finding, and that was blank information. I'd like to get this key
word or name, before time
expires please. Nothing was suggested on the announcement for "free".
