Just a reminder to any of you who live in the Clark Co., IN area that we have
a workday scheduled tomorrow (SATURDAY, APRIL 15th) at the Adams Family
Cemetery in Jeffersonville <see
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/5881/AdamsFamilyCem.html >.
This is the one we just found at the end of December. The Sheriff's office
has assisted us GREATLY by stripping the area. We have not yet found any
stones in this deeded cemetery and if I can get a few willing souls to join me
there tomorrow, we'll be probing for buried stones.
We're meeting at 10:00 A.M. at the DAIRY QUEEN on Middle Road, just east of
Allison Lane in Jeffersonville.
Shortly after 10 A.M., we'll "convoy" down the road to Adams Family
Cemetery.
We're planning to work until about 1 P.M. or thereabouts, so any of you with
plans to go see Thunder over Louisville will have plenty of time to head down
to the river to enjoy the festivities.
This should be a fun day (especially if we get lucky enough to find a couple
of stones). All the hard/dirty work has been done. This is the really
exciting part, where we get to play "Indiana Jones", searching for lost
treasure!
Bring your probes, gloves, racks, trowels, sunscreen, bug repellant, etc.
Though it's gonna be in the low 70s tomorrow, I recommend long pants and long
sleeves, just in case the undergrowth has started growing back in the last few
weeks.
