Sid,
From what I found Nelson and Lulu (Schrier) Irvine are buried at
Logansport
Mt. Hope Cemetery. She died 22 May 1929 in Miami, Dade Co., FL. Nelson
remarried to Ida ?. He lived his last 15 years and died in Miami, Dade
County Florida on 19 Aug 1949. The son, I believe an only child apparently
moved to Miami in early adulthood.
According to one article I read, Nelson came to Cass county as an infant.
He made numerous trips to Harrisburg PA and Monmouth IL to visit relatives.
His father was William C. Irvine; he and some siblings of Nelson lived in
Monmouth, IL.
The fact that Nelson did not marry until the age of 35 would account for the
time spent in seminary and other educational endeavors.
SSDI info for William - WILLIAM IRVINE 16 Dec 1894 Feb 1972 Last Residence
33126 (Miami, Miami-dade, FL)266-36-2574 Florida
I will add obituaries for both to Mt. Hope cemetery shortly.

Subject: [INCASS] Nelson Armstrong Irvine, Logansport
I know very little about this man, Nelson Armstrong IRVINE, and hope
someone knows more. He was from Hogestown, Cumberland County, PA. In
addition, he attended the Union Seminary, New Berlin, Union County, PA
around 1880. It was there that he was in the Commercial Class and
studied music.
At some point he moved to Cass County, IN, and he was a timekeeper for the
RR.
His wife was Lulu E. (last name unknown). They had one son, William Clemens
IRVINE.
Did they have other children?
Nelson was born in 1860
Lulu in 1864
William in 1894
Thanks,
Sid
