Hi,
There was quite of few of you, that was interested in the informaiton,
that I may come up with. I wrote to Rudy Strauch in Logansport. He has
written a book on railroads.
The Pennsylvania Railroad bought out or leased the railroads in
Logansport around 1900. Prior to that, the names of the railroads were,
Vandalia, TP&W, C.C., & I. C., Eel River, Wabash, Pittsburgh,
Cincinnati, Chicago and St.Louis Railway Co.
He mentions that the Roster to these railroads do not exist. The
oldest roster he could fiind was 1940.
That would not help me. I'm looking for John Miller b. 1831 Pruissa
listed on the 1870 census age 39 occupation R R laborer. Living with
Wendel Miller and Caroline Grusenmeyer Miller. So I'm now looking for
City Directories.
So if anyone has a City Directory starting around 1862-1908. I sure
could use a look up.
