Why don't some one check on these employees who employs them and
pays
them there wages and complain to them how they are treating the customers
that come into the library there in Loganland. Sound as tho they are lazy
and grouchie and don't care kind of people .and these kind of people
should be told to straighten up there act or be replace with some one who
loves to work library and genealogy and are friendly to the people and
welcome them to come to do reserch. I'm sure there is some one who would
love to have the job they got.
I'm from out of town so don't know who you would get hold of but if I was
living there .Belive me the Logansport paper would have my word on What I
think printed so the public could read it or find out who there employers
are and complain . And maybe have a spot check person watch for a day or
two on each shift employees. A library friendless is no better than a
grocery , store, drug store or factory or hospital, doctors office
friendless and helping others come 1st in this line of work like any other
kind of work.
Thanks for me blowing off. Get to the point

I have held this Library problem inside of me for such a long time, it
feels so good to get it out into the open. It was like this in 1982
when
we moved back close to Logan. My husband was working on RR in South Bend
so I had a lot of time on my hands. The workers made me feel awful. One
evening I went in and one table was FULL of books. Boy, I had fun. No
one came back and looked. I was in there for several hours.
The Birth/Death Records, at that time, were open, too. But, a woman made
a demanding nuisance of herself, so they locked them up for good. The
Clerks Office was still open to US the last time I was there. That's for
marriages, will, etc. They treated me very nice.
White Co Health/Death Records were locked, too. But, the Historical Lady
unlocked the room with marriages, etc. in went out and left in there
alone. They were very nice to me and got Birth records but I wanted to
see the page myself.
Carroll Co was open as far as marriage. That's where I found that the
marriage date of my grgrandparents that I had were wrong. They were
married 5 years later--reason?? oldest child was about 5 when parents
married. If I hadn't seen the actual pages I would still be wondering
which was the right date.
I have enjoyed these exchanges so much and I thank all who has been
envolved in them. Sallie
