Oh, also, I think what they're hoping for (now whether
this is true or not only time will tell) is that if
you lay the stone face down and it's on the ground it
will be preserved by the earth just like old fossils
and old dinosaur bones and all that. The difference
here would be them laying on grass that could have
been sprayed with weed killer, could be contaminated
by acid rain, etc. etc. But then it's also safe from
being chipped by lawn mowers or moved by vandals and
things like that.
I don't know about all of you but I find this topic
fascinating!
