Deb, I am searching for James B. Rodefer, or Rodifer, b. Virginia about
1830, plus or minus a few years. He lived in Logansport, Cass Co., Eel
township. Thanks for the information on George W. He may be James' brother.
Thanks,
Darlene Kneaves

Hi Darlene,
I have at least some of the Cass Co. Civil War
Veterans in paper format. What is your ancestors
name? There are CW vets buried in most of the
cemeteries in Cass Co. Many are in Mt. Hope because
it is so big.
I've got George W. Rodefer at Mt. Hope - grave 5, Lot
273, Section 3-1st addition (This does not give
dates.) This is on American Legion Form GR 2 -
Cemetery Record of Deceased Veterans. No date given,
but there are a few listed from WWI.

Thanks Deb for all your help. I am grateful for all
of your help, as I am
sure others are also.
I have an ancestor who was in the Civil War, and
died, about 1867, from his
injuries. I cannot seem to locate where he is
buried. Do you have any
suggestions? Is there a Civil War cemetery in or
around Logansport,
Indiana?
Surnames: Welch/Rodefer

As some of you may know, I am into cemeteries also.
I
have done some restoration work in the past, but was
held back this year by major surgery. I hope to be
back with a vengence next year.
Anyway, it was my turn to do the display case at
work
this month, so I did one on cemeteries. You can see
pictures at:
http://www.kokomo.lib.in.us/genealogy/cemdisplay.html
Also, I recently added Mt. Carmel Cemetery / aka.
Twelve Mile United Brethren Cemetery to the Cass
County INGenWeb site. It is complete with photos of
the markers. See:
