Hi, Harriet:
In looking in the 1859 Logansport, Indiana City Directory, I found the
following:
GEPPINGER, John, tanner (Mc & K) res. High
I looked up Mc & K and found the following:
Tanners and Curriers
McElheny & Kinsley, Broadway
I found no other variations of the name of GEPPINGER nor did I find any
variations of the name REINHEIMER in Logansport or Peru, Indiana. I also
looked in the governmental officials and ministers. Hope this information
helps you.

I have 2 grandfathers in Logansport, Cass County at that time,
Valentine
Reinheimer and John Geppinger (Johannes Goeppinger). Is there anything on
either of them. Thank you, Harriet Stairs
