That might be Paint Creek Cemetery...many Lenons buried there...I am
descended from the man who donated the land originally for the cemetery,
John Lenon, who is buried there along with his wife and most of his
children and descendants. There is a marker with his and his wife's
name in the front of the cemetery and a newer addition to the cemetery
across the road. Was there a hog farm right behind it? And a little
white utility building with the initials J O LENON carved into it? That
was one of his sons. I am trying to find the ancestors of my great
grandmother, Anna May RAY who married one of John's grandsons, Stephen
Douglas LENON. I've been to that cemetery many times and my brother and
I have reset John's headstone as it was sunken into the ground. The
cemetery is actually just outside of Camden, which is right up the
highway from Deer Creek.

I love the new photos of the Onward/Thomas Little/Deer Creek Cemetery on the
Cass County site (thanks, Debby). But they proved something to me, too. For
about 30 years, I've been under the impression that the cemetery that my
great-great-grandparents and three of their children were buried in was Deer
Creek (that's what my great aunt told me - in fact, I've since found a note
