Report of Late Deaths and Funeral Announcements
Following an illness that confined her to her bed for the past two months, Mrs. Elmira
Sarah Lynas, widow of the late Dr. J B Lynas , died at the residence of her son, George H
Lynas of No 10 S10 Broadway at 7:30 last evening. Deceased was 68 years of age and was
preceded to the grave by her husband thirteen years ago. Mrs. Lynas was born and raised
in Wisconsin but had resided here for many years and had a wide acquaintance.
Mrs. Mary A Frank, widow of Harry S Frank, died last night at 7:40 at the residence,
1425 North Street. She was aged seventy-one years. Mrs. Frank is survived by three
children, William Frank, ex-city fireman; mrs Anna M Curry, of Covington, KY and Mrs J W
McCool of Chattanooga, Tenn. They were all at her bedside.
Willard Jones, Clay township, died at his home at 2 oclock this morning following an
illness of one week. Death was due to penumonia. Jones was 52 years old. He is survived
by a wife and one daughter.
The funeral will be held at two oclock on Thursday afternoon from the Spring Creek
Christian church. Rev, Sherritt of Indianapolis will conduct the services and burial will
be made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
The funeral of Samuel Ford, who died at his home near Metea yesterday, will be held on
Wednesday morning at eleven oclock from the Baptist church in Metea. Rev L B Morgan of
Caroll Co will conduct services and burila will be made in the church cemetery.
The funeral of the infant son of Mr and Mrs William Nulf was held from the residence on
east Wabash avenue this morning, at ten oclock and burial was made in the cemetery at
Crooked Creek.
The funeral of Mrs Mable Hawkins will be hel on Wednesday afternoon at two-thrity from
the Trinity Episcopal Church with burial following in Mt Hope cemetery.
