The late Dr John Z. Powell is authority for the
statement that a number of other persons lie buried in
graves which may once have been marked, but are now
entirely unmarked. He speaks of the following as
having originally been buried here, though some may
later have been remove to other cemeteries.

comment on Solomon Burket}

Please email me directly for a copy of the complete
transcript. Any help locating descendents of these
folks is greatly appreciated.
This cemetery is in very sad shape. It is located in
the woods at the edge of a field and was previously
part of a cattle pasture. Only seven or eight stones
remain, lying flat on the ground where the landowner
placed them in his effort to begin restoration 10 years
ago. It is unknown how many are buried under brush and
debris.
Located on private property, the landowner has agreed
to allow family members to begin a restoration of this
pioneer cemetery. We would like to clear it off this
fall and assess what needs to be done to reset the
remaining stones, set a fence and possibly place a
marker to indicate the location of this cemetery.
Manpower and funds are welcome. Please contact me if
you would like to get involved.
