I completely understand, and would, of course, be willing to absorb the cost
of making copies and getting them to me. Am willing to help, just someone
let me know what is needed/wanted.

Subject: Re: [INCASS] Marriage Records on Cass Co website
In the past there were some people, myself included, that were transcribing
the WPA indexes. Debby Beheler was sending copies to me to be transcribed.
Some time ago, she quit sending them. I believe it was because of the costs
that she was paying out of pocket. Since there are alot of pages to copy for
each letter, I can understand her position. Many times there were 30+ pages
in each package. That can add up in dollars out of pocket. I believe she may
also had problems with people saying that they would transcribe, just to get
copies, then not doing the work. This is very time consuming, as some of the
copies are hard to read. They have to be transcribed exactly as printed, no
corrections to spelling or dates. They were done in "note pad" and sent by
e-mail to her to be posted.
It is a shame that this project was stopped. If anyone has copies of pages
that are not on-line, they may want to consider transcribing them, or
sending
them to someone that will. Another suggestion would be, if someone has
access
to the records that can copy them, sending them to people that are willing
transcribe and to obsorb the cost of the copies.
