Those are great pictures! Ella looks like she's
pregnant - do you know if she was? I always think it's
interesting to see older pictures like that of
pregnant women. I have read that at least up until the
Civil War era, pregnant women didn't appear in public.
So old photos of pregnant women are pretty unusual.
By the way, I sent some of these photos to the list a
while back but Debby you're welcome to download them
and add them to the site if you'd like. They're of
Stacey Oliver Prough. He was the son of James Franklin
I and Lola Lucille (Hilt) Prough. Both of the elder
Prough's were born and raised in Tippecanoe County but
Stacey was born and raised in Logansport. He moved
back to Tippecanoe County after serving in the Army in
WWII.
