The family genealogical data at the Mormon site is collected by individuals
like those of us here and sent to the Mormon church. So the data is only as
good as the researcher who sent it. The real value of the Mormon collections
is that they have so many old records on microfilm and microfiche. And the
family trees they have usually have the name of the researcher so you can
contact that person. But the information they have is collected by volunteers
and they sometimes need to have someone inform them when a Genealogical
Society disbands.
