Charlotte,
It is my understanding that St. Vincent's was once a separate Roman
Catholic cemetery. There were other cemeteries in the area including
Hebrew, Mt. Calvary, Owen (Pleasant Hill addition), and Velsey. At some
point, they combined to become sections of this very large cemetery. The
Logansport-Cass County Public Library has the pre- 1940s stone readings on
microfilm. Maybe they are available through the LDS church. I can't say
for certain, but most likely in a cemetery that size there would be a
pauper's section.

"Mount Hope Cemetery is the third largest cemetery in the state of Indiana
with over 81,000 burials. There are many monuments that are truly works of
art. The cemetery has created a database of burials from which they can do
lookups. Please contact them for further information.

Hi,
Through a lot of research I believe I have track down the John Miller
who lived with Wendell & Caroline Miller in the 1870 census as a rail
road laborer.
John died in 1889 in Logansport of typhoid Fever. I obtain his death
information, which did not give much. Is there a book out on the Mt.Hope
or Vincent cemetery.
They are one and the same cemetery? I was wondering if John Miller
was buried there with out a headstone. And was there a pauper section in
the cemetery. Wendell and his family were buried in the Mt. Hope/Vincent
Cemetery in Logansport.
