Great recommendation! The LDS libraries are wonderful
resources and they only charge I think $3.25 to order
a roll of microfilm from Salt Lake City. So it's very
reasonable and I think you can keep the film there at
the library for quite some time. Also, my local LDS
center has the full Ancestry site so you can look up
census records online and they have newspapers and
things like that online as well, and there is no
charge for that. A lot of people don't know that
resource is available and just how much information is
at your fingertips there, thanks for bringing that up!

Depending on WHERE you live, sometimes the desired
information may be available through LDS Family
History Library. (Someone on another list clued me
on
to this research medium.) If you're not familiar
with
this resource, you might want to "play around" with
this web site.
Go to the Family History Library Catalog
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp
Click on "Place Search" (top box on right) and it
opens a window where you enter your desired
location.
Follow the intructions given, i.e., for this search,
"Logansport" for the Place; "Indiana" to narrow the
search.
One finds the FHLC has several films which might
possible include the desired info. The films have to
be ordered from Salt Lake City and have to be viewed
at a local Family History library. This is a handy
resource for anyone that lives away from the
locality
yet has convenient access to a Family History
library.
