I have spent hours and hours at the Harlingen TX Family Research Center and
attended Genealogy Class Meetings there. I was taught how to use a computer
by a Mormon Missionary on leave due to his wife's health. I have met
Missionaries from Japan and other Missionaries. Never once was I asked what
or how I believe nor did they try to indoctrinate me into the Mormon
Religion. IN FACT, most of the Volunteer workers in the Center were NOT
Mormon!

As a non Mormon volunter in my local FHC I can tell you all that you
will
absolutely not have the religion pushed on you. It is forbidden in the
libraries. Their doors are open to all. If you ask a question related to
the Mormon
religion a volunteer will try to answer it or get answers for you, but if
you
don't ask it will not happen. Unfortunately many people still have a fear
of
going to a FHC, but please get past it. They are an unbelieveable source
of
information. Nancy
