HIEBER
Christ F Hieber of 114 Fulton Street died at his late residence yesterday morning at
7:30 oclock. He had been in ill health for a number of months and during this time
everyhing was done to relieve his oftentimes intense sufferings but to no avail. Cancer
of the stomach was slowly but surely doing its deadly work and baffled all medical skill.
Three weeks ago he took to his bed and rapidly grew weaker until death came yesterday
monring to call him out of his sufferings. Thus a useful life has come to a close.
Deceased was born at Korathal, Warthenberg, Germany, June 16, 1840. On September 13,
1865, he was united in marriage to Mary D Felder and shortly after they came to America
and settled in Logansport, where he resided until his death. He is survived by his wife
and son Henry C Heiber. Funeral services are to be held on Friday afternoon at 2 o;clock
from his late residence, 114 Fulton street and at 2:45 o;clock from the St James Lutheran
church, Ninth street, of which he always was a faithful member. The Pastor, the Rev H E
Steuhm will officiate at these services. Burial will be made in Mt Hope.
COUGHLIN
Mrs. Ella Coughlin, 114 Helm Street, died yesterday at noon at St Joseph hospital.
Deceased was the widow of the late Timothy Coughlin and was 53 years of age. She is
survived by seven children, John, Cecil, Marie, Kathaleen, Cornelius, George and Edward.
The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 oclock from the St Bridgets church
conducted by the Rev Father Quinn. Burial in Mt St Vincent cemetery.
The funeral of Richard Hazel, Sr. will be held this morning at 9 oclock from the St
Bridgets church conducted by the Rev Father Quinn, interment will take place in the Mt St
Vincent cemetery.
The funeral of Francis Cahill will be held this morning at 9 oclock from the St Vincent
de Paul church, conducted by the Rev Father Crosson. Burial will be made in Mt St Vincent
cemetery.
The funeral of John S Clary was held yesterday morning. Interment in Mt Hope cemetery.
The body of Mrs Julius Levi will be brought to this city today arriving at 12:35 over
the Pennsylvania and taken at once to the Jewish cemetery for burial.
