I would be very interested in exchanging information on the Mullendores. My
reat great grandfather was Roy Lee Mullendore and my namesake (I was given his
iddle name as my middle name). I am trying to learn more about the Friday side of the
family as well. I was
old growing up that a relative on my grandmother's side was an Native American
rincess. I don't know if the stories are true, but I would love to track
hings back and see where it leads.
I'm new at this, but love the research and live close enough to Indiana that I
an get back on occasion.
Hi Danielle: This is not my family but I have hundreds of obituaries from the area, and
the MULLENDORE and their connections are mentioned in many.
The survivors mentioned are a great help in figuring out relationships.
Although you well may have native American ancestry (and I seem to recall that FRIDAY is
a common surname in the Miami tribe),
the legend of a "princess" is a common one but it wasn't a part of that
culture.
Here's a link for an article about common legends and myths in genealogy you may find
helpful and may save you some time chasing around.
