My name is Carol Burns. I have been trying to find out about a Cynthia A or Sentha A
Isaacs. No one ever knew Cynthia's maiden name. On census she says born in MO but
death cert says born in IN. She has on 1900 census parents born in North Carolina. We
knew she married Algernon S Fultz. I requested her death cert from Kansas. Her son John
General put a name down for father looks like started with E and last looks like Isaacs.
Says mothers name unknown. A friend found a marriage cert from 1859 for Cynthia A Isaacs
marrying Algernon S Fulks. They transcribed as Fulks but I look at original and looks
like Fultz. Also I requested it from Missouri and they also sent same info. She was born
in 1844. She would of been 15 and Al was 33. I found some Isaacs and Cockerham in North
Carolina and moved to Indiana then to Missouri. One brother (Isaacs) came to Missouri
from Ky. What I find interesting is Cynthia and Al are in Platte County MO and also Isaacs
and Cockerham. !
Then Al and Cynthia move to Holton KS in Jackson county. Holton is right on line of
Jefferson County Kansas. At the same time they (Al and Cynthia) moved to Holton the
Isaacs' and Cockerham's move to Jefferson County Kansas. I found a David Isaacs
who had a Sentha. Census had her born about 1842. She disappeared after the 1850 census.
But when I was reading up on David on Find a Grave said Sentha died in 1851. But there
is no grave for her or death record?? David was in Howard County Missouri he came from KY.
David's father looks to be from Virginia. Cynthia A died in 1916 in KS. So I am not
real sure where Cynthia fits in???? Do you know anything about Cynthia??? My friend
also said she though Isaacs was Scandinavian. I did the DNA test and 13% came back as
Scandinavia Primarily found in: Sweden, Norway, Denmark. I have not found anyone in my
tree that is Scandinavian.Thanks
