If you look at the 1850 Census Woodford P. Cully was in Boone Co.,IN.
There were Cuppy in Wayne Co., Rush Co. & Tippecanoe Co.
The marriage index before 1850 has about 10 Cuppy, about 20 Culley and over
100 Cully.
Please don't flame based narrow views.

Maybe the name got corrupted, but Woodford was definitely a Culley -
my
mother-in-law was his granddaughter-in-law - her husband was Perry Elmer
Culley

Hi,
My friend may have worked on this line. But the name was Cuppy, not
Cully. Are you sure what you are reading isn't Cuppy in old script
writing? I
know she was born in Davenport, her family were Margaret and Edward
Cuppy.
Best wishes, Kathie Davis
