Did the Strattons you referr to in this email come from Anderson or Mercer
county Kentucky?
My Strutton/Strattons are from Anderson County Kentucky. The Struttons married
into the Riley Family and they also intermarried amoung themselves as did most
families back then.
Would be great if we each had a little information to share with each other.
The Strutton that I am descended from married a Riley in Mercer County.

ok this might take a while but i am stuck on my GreatgreatGrandfather.His
name was James L. Stratton, he was born in 1809 in Ky.died 1866.Was married
to a woman by the name of Delilah Floore.They had 9 children,2 of which i
believe died at infancy.The names are as follows.John Samuel Stratton born
1835 died 1894 Bloomington Indiana.He was married twice first to a Lady by
the name of Emily in Ky. They had 1 child also name James.2nd marriage was to
a Bethena Slater in Scott Co. Indiana they had 5 children and after John died
she married a Calvin Reliford.The 2nd child of James was William Leonard
Stratton born between 1835 and 1838.3rd child was Terrintha Ann Stratton born
1836,4th child was Mary Elizabeth Stratton b.1840,5th child was Malissa
Louise Stratton b.1843,6th was Sarah Ellen Stratton not sure about her
birthdate, 7th was Florence Stratton b.1848 8th was Cora Laura Stratton
b.1850,9th was Chattie M. Stratton b.1853.James and his 2 sons (William and
John) were Deputy!
Sheriffs in Jefferson Co.Ky.They lived between 1st and Brooke in 1859.John
left Ky and moved to Indiana where he died.My Grandfather and his brothers
and sisters were raised there around Bloomington.I am trying to find out who
Jame's parents were.Anyone out there recognize any of these names?
