Cindy,
It would be great to have copies of these pictures in the Brown County
Historical Society Archives. If interested contact Ada Jones in Nashville.
Russell King is still living and with his daughter in Indianapolis.
Wasn't Sarah Harden the one who posed for the Little Orphant Annie book
drawings by Vawter? She came to the Brown County Historical Society meeting
when we had a program on James whitcomb Riley.

Subject: Photos found at Monroe Co. Library
Hi,
My cousin was searching at Monroe Co. Library and found a book on Brown
County. It has several pictures in it of Brown Co. Residents. Like :
Several Brown County Women dressed as characters from the Abe Martin comic
and stories, then gathered for this picture. The event was in the late
1930's at the Abe Martin Lodge in the Brown County State Park. In the
picture are :Marietta Moser, Charlotte Mathis,Lina Taggart, Sara Moore,
Stella Schrougham, Letha Walker and Mary Spicer. also Juanita Moser,
MUsette
Stoddard, Olive Snyder, Fern Seitz, Matha Weddle, Clara Miller, Anna
Bradley,
John Montz and Jim Jones at far right.
Next picture is Conner Ogle, Harry Kelp, Grover Percifield and Jimmy
Tomlinson swap stories on the steps of the Nashville United Methodist
Church.
Next picture is : The children of George and Anna Fox King gather at a
reunion in 1955. Harley King, Nell King Joslin, Russel King and Elmer
King.
also Carl King, Virgil King, Dora King Brock, Vinnie King Simonton and
Cecil
King. It says the King Children grew up at Knob? along Hoover Road
in
Hamblen town.
There are several Class pictures like: The freshman class of Helmsburg
High
School in 1943. James Richhart, Robert Ellis, Eugene White, Walter
Joe
Chitwood and Richard Frye. Richard Emberton, Robert L. Poynter, donald Van
Banthyssen, William C. kanter, Wendell E. Davis, Colleen Fritch and Thelma
M.
Fleener. Edna Land, Mable Voland, Wilma Joy, Betty Beaver, Dorothy
Bungee,

percifield. and Ruby Cummings, Frieda Schrougham, Joanne Barrett, Jeane
Rairdon, Myra Jean Camden, Annabelle Fritch, Robert L. Dailey and jack
Ramsey.
I hope this helps someone. I have a couple more. If this is helpful I'll
type up names later on other class pictures. There was a picture I'd
never
seen of my grandmother Sarah Harden. She was holding my uncle. He
was
infant. Her mother was in picture also and her grandson.
