Hello Sarah.
Listened to the answering machine, the minute I returned home from a,
Valentine Square Dance at Bedford North Lawrence High School this
afternoon.
At the moment I am thinking about a Henry Jackson of the part of Monroe
county that became Brown County.
I have a querie from a lady in Conn.. She wants to know who Henry Jackson
was?
It seems where her Cox relatives were, there also could be found, one
Henry Jackson. She wonders if there might be a connection, (if so what),
to Katherine Jackson Cox and Elizabeth Jackson Cox. Katherine married
Cornelius Cox, 01/Apr/1834 in Monroe Co. In.. Elizabeth Jackson married
William Cox, 23/Nov/1830, in Monroe County Indiana. Cornelius Cox and
William Cox were brothers.
Personally, I think Elizabeth Jackson and Katherine Jackson were sisters.
But I haven't looked them up yet. Maybe even Henry Jacksons sisters. A
thought.
The above is only a mite of her dilemmas??????? or questions.
I have looked up the Henry Jackson she referrs to and have written about
him. He is a part of the first group here in Brown County," when Brown
County was Monroe County Indiana, before it became Brown County," along
with your Adams family.

Although publicity about the list is not yet posted, I think that
it
is time to get the list started. I expect this list to be rather small
and to stay that way, so I think that we can run the list as if we
were
chatting over the back fence. Once you get started doing Brown County
research you find that you are related to quite a few other Brown
County
families
To start off let's send replies to the other list members so we
can
all learn about relationships in this county.
By way of introduction I would like to say that although I am not
a
native, my father was born in Brown county and some of his ancestors
bought land there back when it was Monroe County before Brown County
was
established. Some of them also had the distinction of owning Weed
Patch
Hill at one time.
I am the list owner and currently the President of the Brown
County
Genealogical Society and started the list to foster genealogical
research of the people of the county. My Brown County families are
Adams, Sipes and Clevenger with an interest in the Wertz who were
there.
