Reference to following:
I checked into my obituary books, Brown Co., IN Obituaries 1914-1984 -
Volume 2 by the Brown Co. Historical Society, Page 1546 - "Jackson Woods #1,
Died Wed. at his home in Belmont, age 54. Surv. are his wife and 3 children.
He was a son of Felix Woods who died 30 years ago. (From Brown Co.
Democrat, Apr 23, 1925). I also found within the Brown co., IN Cemetery
book, Page 138, at Duncan Cemetery, Washington Twp. in Brown Co., J. Woods
born Nov 21, 1871, d Apr 21, 1925. Probably your Jackson Woods. Other Woods
buried there also.
Regarding the other Woods: buried at Duncan - There is a Rebecca A. Woods
(ossw James S. Woods), born Feb 17, 1870 - d Mar 1, 1927; Also James S.
Woods b Feb 28, 1858 - Nov 4, 1932. There is also one James S. Woods, born
Mar 28, 1774 - d July 6, 1849 next to matching stone of Mary Woods, Born Feb
6, 1778 - d Sep 18, 185_ (notated that stone was broken). I have Rebecca's
obit also along with the James S. that died in 1932. Lots of good
information on them.
I do believe that Felix is buried there. There is one: "Corporal F. G.
Woods, Co. H. 82nd Ind. Inf. (Civil War Shield), (sorry no dates) but you do
know that he died 30 years before your Jackson Woods, per the obit, setting
his date of death c1895, if this helps any.
Wishing ya the best!
