Lynn,
I found the story of Trevlac in "History and Families, Brown County, Indiana"
published by the Brown County Historical Society in 1990. I just typed in all four
paragraphs of the story, then apparently hit a key by mistake and wiped it all out. To
summarize, a Colonel Calvert and his wife moved to Jackson Township shortly after 1900 and
stayed through at least 1907. He built a resort. When it was partially burned he closed
it and moved back to Cleveland.
But here's the more interesting part. In the same book is a biography for Lowry
Elijah Calvert. He was born Oct. 5, 1838 in Dearborn Co. Indiana or Macon Co. Missouri.
In 1861 he married Amanda Melissa James in Johnson County, Indiana. By 1870 they were
living in Hamblen Township, Brown County. They had several children, but no William.
Lowry died April 23, 1926.
However, there is also a family history for the Carmichael family. It talks about a Nancy
Snively Calvert, born 1828, who married William Carmichael. Nancy's parents were
William and Rachel Snively Calvert. Both died of cholera in the epidemic of 1854. The
house was burned and the well sealed. William and Nancy Carmichael both died in 1910 and
are buried in Houston Cemetery. They had seven children, including William Calvert who
was born in 1859. The history was submitted by Velma Carmichael.
In the Edward L. Walker biography, there is information about Daisy and Annie Calvert who
married Walkers and shows a picture of them. (page 298)
Don't know if this helps you, but that's what I could find.
Julia
