I am hoping to find the obit for my gggrandfather who died May 5,
1903 in Nashville, Brown Co., Indiaana.

This is what The Hamblen and Allied Families says about him on page 164:
(17). Thomas Jefferson Taggart, born December 15, 1837, married, Sep-
tember 27, 1860, Eveline Strahl. (See Mead, note 120, page 172.) He was
assessor of Hamblen Township, 1880. Sheriff of Brown County, 1883 to
1887. County Chairman, Democrat Party, 1892 to 1896. Enthusiastic. Had
children: Hanibal, Florence, Lee, John E. and Frank.
Several Hamblens married Taggarts
