Well, Helen Reeves is the one that researched and wrote the Cemeteries book so she should
know. She also researched all the probate records, funeral homes, obituaries, etc. to come
up with the information she puts out. I would put a lot of faith in it and try to
determine where the info came from. Maybe someone locally can research that for you.

I haven't seen the death record myself, but the book that Helen Reeves did
on the Hattan/Hattons says that the death record states that Phillip is
buried at Mt. Zion Cem. in an unmarked grave.

Dean,
I looked in the Brown County book and did not find a Phillip Hatton in
any cemetery. Almost all of the Hattons in Brown County were spelled
Hatton with an "O". Mt. Zion could be the church or Mt. Zion Cemetery is
in Van Buren Township in Brown County. There is no Phillip Hatton in any
of those that I checked. If it is an unmarked grave, my question would
be...how do they know if it is unmarked?

Hi,
I shall try this address! I get the e-mails all the time but I can't find
the correct address where I can get an answer. I want to know if there is
a map or someone who knows who is buried where and what plots are unused
at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. I'm trying to find out where Phillip Hattan
(1874-1907) is buried. It just says "an unmarked grave at Mt. Zion."
