Henry Maxwell
Henry Maxwell, age 71, died on Wednesday, December 1st. at his home near Bloomington,
following an illness of six weeks. Complications accompanying advanced age caused his
death. He had been bedfast 10 days.
Mr. Maxwell was a former resident of Brown County, living on a farm east of Bean
Blossom, and at was a candidate for County Commissioner. He was born in Miami County,
February 18, 1872. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ida May Maxwell; one son, Roy Maxwell of Kokomo;
three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Taylor and Mrs. May Koontz, both of Kokomo, and Mrs. Maude
Robinson of Indianapolis; one brother, Charles Maxwell of LaFontainta, Indiana; and five
stepchildren, Earl Maxwell, Clarence Maxwell, Reno Maxwell and May Spalding of
Indianapolis.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday in the South Henderson Church,
Bloomington, with Rev. Warren Chafin in charge of the service. Burial was in Duncan
Cemetery.
