Surname: Ferguson, Brown
-------------------------
Hello,
I read your email after I was trying find information on "my family". My
grandmothers' maiden name was Edith Ferguson. Her sisters' name was Ehthal.
She married Samual P Brown. He was born in 1900 and grew up in Brown County.
I'm not sure how Ferguson mother died, but I was told their father was
a school teacher.
I was also told that their relative had a boarding house in Nashville,
In. which was called the "Ferguson House".
Knowing Brown County, as I do, it is beautiful country, but, I don't know
what anyone could do there except for farm.. if they found flat land. It
is somewhat hilly.
I am curious as to why this set of people "settled" here and if there were
other family members who were there, also.
My immediate family came to Indianapolis and developed homes, there, and
have sinced passed away.
Knowing the area of Brown County (a small, hilly, somewhat remote area),
I believe any Ferguson familys' that were there had to be related.
If this helps, good, if you can lend any information to me, thanks.
Tawni Day/Miller/Brown
P.,S. Once a year the Browns' have a reunion here in Indiana. That may
be a good opportunity to learn more.
