David,
The Samuel Neal that you mention here was one of the earliest Neals
in the Monroe/Brown County area. Many (or perhaps all) of the Neals
that Sue listed are direct descendants. I've been told that Samuel's
grave is no longer marked on the Ira Robertson farm. If anyone knows
differently I would very much like to drive down to Monroe Co. and
photograph his gravestone.
By the way: do you have any other information about Samuel's service
in the War of 1812?
Thanks very much,

There is a Samuel Neal, b 02/12/1780 - d 11/29/1847 buried in the NEAL
Cemetery on the Ira Roberson farm, Washington Twp, Section 22, Monroe County,
IN.
This is per the WPA Inventory of Veterans Graves, 1938-1939. Tom Brown was
the informant. Samuel was a Veteran of the War of 1812.
Is this any of your family?
