Hi,
My gg grandfather was James Chandler b. 1791 Va. of Brown Co. and he did have a son James but he was b.1845. There was a Benjamin Chandler in Brown Co. who I believe to be my James' brother however I still can't prove it. The last time Benjamin is on the census is 1840. Are you sure about your James' birth date of 1807? You can connect me at smparham(a)caltel.com. maybe we can see if there could be some kind of connection.

Hi Brown County Folks,
I'm relatively new to genealogy research and am looking for information about
my Great-Great Grandparents. Their names were Lowrey Calvert and Amanda M.
James. Lowrey was born about 1837 in Indiana, Amanda was born about 1842,
also in Indiana. Amanda's parents were Samuel and Elizabeth James. Lowrey and
Amanda were married in Dearborn County on September 15, 1860. I located them
in the 1870, 1880, 1900, and 1910 Federal Census in Hamblen Township, Brown
County, Indiana.
Lowrey's occupation was listed as a farmer. They had a number of children, my
Great Grandmother, Alice Charlotte Calvert, born December 2, 1867, was their
daughter.
I live in Washington State and would appreciate any resource suggestions to
help further my search from such a long distance away. I would also greatly
appreciate any information about Lowrey and Amanda Calvert.
Thank you for your efforts,
Pat James

John Perry and Eliza A. Weaver were married in Brown County November 5, 1865. I am looking for information as to where they lived and who their parents were. Also the names of their children if they had any.
My gr gr aunt was Eliza A. Weaver, born in Lewisburg VA (now WV) in Greenbrier county. Her parents died and she left in 1861. Our family is trying to find her.
It is so important that we find her. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have been searching for info about Daniel Hedrick, son of Walter and Sally Rogers Hedrick, who married Mary Harris 1824 in Hardin KY and moved first to Bartholomew IN, then to Iowa. He owned property in Brown Co. I suspect he was related to Susannah Rogers, who married Joshua Matney, my family line. Joshua and Susannah married in Bartholomew, moved to Brown and lived several years. Somehow the David family may fit into this Hedrick family, also. Walter Hedrick was a Baptist minister, according to source on WFT. Please contact me if this is the same Hedrick line.
