Do you have any knowledge of Nathan Turner Shipley who married Harriet Worburton Ross and had children: Pinkney Lyonel, Isadore Annetta, Calvin Thompson, Lee Ann, Emmerreleus (not sure of this spelling), Asa Ross, Rebecca Turner and Millard Fillmore. Ihave DOB for all these children from old bible. Rebecca Turner Shipley m. John M. Woods. They are my ggrandparents. Harriet Ross was d. of Asa Ross and Ann Lee. These ancestors are from White Co. IL, and Brown Co. IN. Rebecca and John are buried at New Harmony. I got most of this info from an aunt and courthouse records at Carmi, White Co. IL. Would like to know where the cemetery is and the name of the book on the Shipley genealogy and if a copy can be obtained. Thanks for any help.

I noticed on the message board the name Elizabeth PROSSER. I have a photo of the headstone of Elizabeth PROSSER 1821-1902. The stone stands in East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown (Morgan Co.) I took the picture because I figured she might be a relative as my Uncle Rueben GRIFFITT, M.D. married Minerva D. PROSSER. I will send the photo to anyone who wants it free of charge. Tracy

O the moonlight shines tonight along the Wabash,
From the fields there comes the scent of new-mown hay;
Through the sycamores the candlelight is burning,
On the banks of the Wabash, far away.
Back home again in Indiana
Where it seems that I can see,
The gleaming candlelight
Still shining bright,
Through the sycamores
For me.
The new mown-hay
Sends all its fragrance
From the fields
I used to roam;
O the moonlight shines tonight
Along the Wabash,
As I long for
my Indiana home.
