John Petro was the son of George Petro and Sophia Calvin. He was born 3
Sept. 1847 in Hamblin Twp., Brown Co., IN. Miranca was born 2 Sept. 1850
in Ohio. They were married 19 Feb. 1874. John dies 8 Jan. 1910 and is buried
at Church of Christ Cemetery, Hamblin Twp., Brown Co., IN. Miranda is buried
in the same place. I do not have a date of death for her. She was the daughter
of Luther Flint and Mary ---. They had several children. Estell M. (Stella),
born app 1875, married Arthur Wooten. Evert W. born app 1877. Marvin L.,
born Sept. 1877 in Brown Co., IN and married Jane Waltman in Beanblossom
(Brown Co.) IN on A17 April 1904. Walter S. born Aug. 1879. Ida Mabel born
Oct. 1884. Iva Cecelia (Eva) born in Brown Co. 4 April 1889 and married
to Ray Rodanmel (that's the spelling that I have). All the childrens' birthplaces
that I have available were Indiana.
I believe George Petro to be the son of Levi Petro. George had several
children, all probably born in Indiana, although I don't have places of
birth for the three youngest. John appears to be the eldest. I also have
a note for George, "Co. D. 82 Indiana Inf.". Both George and his wife Sophia
are buried in Calvin Cemetery in Hamblin Twp., Brown Co., IN.

Surname: McDonald, Lawver
-------------------------
Hi Kathy,
I can give you some information on Sarah McDonald and Solomon Lawver. I
would like to swap information with you. Sarah was a sister to my 3rd great-grandfather,
Elza McDonald. She was born in 1815 in Harrison County, Ohio to Joseph
McDonald Sr. and Hannah Wilson, both from Pennsylvania. Sarah and Solomon
married 22 October 1833 in Harrison County.
I suspect that Sarah and Solomon moved to Indiana between 1864 and 1866
as Elza and family moved to Shelby County, Indiana at that time. Also,
Elza and Sarah's brother, Joseph Jr and his wife Charlotte moved their
family to Brown County at that time as well. Are you a descendant of Sarah
and Solomon?
I show that they had these children: Hannah, 1837; Joseph, 1842; David,
1845; Martha, 1847 and Charles, May 1850.
