Surname: Ford
-------------------------
Hi! I was just reading the Brown co. queries and was taken
back to my childhood when I read yours. I'm not any relation
to this Ford family but the daughter of Nelson P and Sarah
Clevenger Ford was one of the dearest people that I ever
knew in my lifetime. Elizabeth (Lizzie) Ford was my old
neighbor in Columbus Indiana and I spent many many hours
talking to her as I was just a young girl growing up next
door. To me, she was Mrs. Ira Neville. She was a grandmother
when I met her and I was only 5 years old but through the
years I was with her almost daily and loved her so very much
I remember she had some sisters and brothers and she
had children: Irene Neville Snyder, Lawrence Neville,
Irva Neville Hibbitt and Norma Jean Neville ???. I can't
remember who she married. I played with Irva's children.
But when I saw this, I just couldn't help but tell you
how much I thought of this family, especially my dear
friend Elizabeth Ford Neville. By the way, she is buried
in the cemetery at Edinburgh Indiana in Johnson County Ind.
If I could give you anymore on this family, I would be glad
to, just ask me, I may know what you are looking for.
Can anyone tell me where I might books on the Brown Family from Brown County? I know there is a couple out there but where do I go? I am searching the family Thomas Brown. Thanks for your help.
Mildred
Today at the National Geneology Society at a conference in Portland,
Oregon, the 1880 US census was released. It consists of a set of about 53
CDs which cover the entire US.
The cost is $49.00 (US). This is a every name census and was planed to be
searchable in several ways. I will send any information I can get as to
where and how to order. This was a LDS church project. They have been
working on it since about 1993/4

Surname: HUNTINGTON, ADAMS
-------------------------
My William O. HUNTINGTON married Sarah Jane ADAMS in Brown Co. Feb. 19,
1846. Their first two children were b. in Indiana, including our ancestor,
James Walter HUNTINGTON. Other Huntington family members were in Brown
Co. also. At some point they were in Shelby Co. and in DeKalb Co. Abt.
1852 they left IN and came on the Oregon Trail were they stopped in Oregon,
then were prominent in settling Cowlitz County, Washington. I'm interested
in any info on the Huntington's and Sarah's family, the ADAMS. I don't
know her parent's names, but she did have a nephew, Samuel ADAMS, who followed
the wagon train and then was allowed to join them in traveling the Oregon
Trail to Washington.
Any info or clues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!

Arthur Caple 1866 - 1919 is buried in one plot with

on the stone of Arthur is a Masonic Emblem
Georgetown is now known as Bean Blossom in Brown County Indiana and lies
about midway between Nashville Indiana and Morgantown Indiana along Highway
135. Bond Funeral Home was in Nashville at that time. Bean Blossom
[Georgetown] would probably have been on a Morgantown Indiana mail route,
as
it is now.
Hope this helps
