Don ,
I've heard that the Truax/Truex family was once from France . Do you have
this and are their any books written on them that you know of ? I have
a chart done by my cousin , but no additional information on them and there
are a lot of blanks .
I have some interesting things on the Cordell family that were given to
me . Also i've met another cousin on the net who is a descendant of one
of Rev. John Cordells other son's . Our line goes : Rev. John , his son
George , his son Presley , his son Thomas to Lucinda Cordell who married
Samuel L.B. Moore .
If you wouldn't mind emailing me , i'll send yu some of the things I have
on the Cordells , etc... Would like to compare notes , if that's o.k. ?
Thanks for the response . Beth CLark

For two weeks there is free access to ANCESTRE.COMhttp://www.ancestry.com/home/celebrate/freeaccess.htm?sourcecode=674
It has its limitations since it searches only for the precise spelling that you
enter and you have to think of all the alternative spelling. It also demands a
LOT of cookies. But in spite of this, you may be able to find some leads.

I have put my Blackburn/Poling/Hawley material in the Brown Co. Soc.
collection at Nahville, if you are interested. It is titled "Benjamin F.

Oops! I guess I should have read your post more slowly. I see that you're
expecting to find your Mt. Zion cemetery near Morgantown. I haven't been
to that one. I believe you'll learn more about the location if you check
that March 1999 post I mentioned. Not sure. Good luck!

Kate, Take a look at the many exchanges on Mt. Zion church on this website
March 2, 1999. I asked the same question and received some excellent responses!
If I recall there are 2 Mt. Zion cemeteries in Brown County. The one I
visited was on st. road 135 not far from Story, Indiana. If you just start
heading south from st. road 46 on 135 ... and keep a sharp eye on the left
hand side of the road you'll get to it. It's a pretty long drive. If you
get to Story you've gone too far. Good luck! Marty Meadows

The only Sarah Walker I have in my files is Sarah Jane Walker, daughter
of Samuel Walker and Nancy Young. She was born in 1834 in Indiana and died
6 Jan 1915 in Indiana. I'm sure this is not the one you're looking for.
If I come across any Sarah C. Walker and John Anderson, I'll let you know.

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the response. I haven't received any replies on the Walker family
in Brown county. My grandmother, who passed away in 1976 did most of the
research on the family and I'm trying to verify and continue the research.
