I have a copy of the Constitution & By-Laws of the Gadsden Detective Compnay, dated
1896.
Members of the organization included:

Sedwick, Geogre Bohannon, George B. Dulin, A.D. Goodwin, J. A. Balch, John M. Dulin, S.W.
Carey, Wm. N. Clingler, George W. Smith, John W. Harshbarger,Morton Clinger,W.H. Davidson,
C.O. Dulin, Dora C. Dulin, Carl Staton, Issac M. Shoemaker, Wilbur J. Hine,Jesse Dulin,
Ora M. Bohannon, William Quinn, and John Thompson.
Their preamble states: "The undersigned citizens of Boone County and State of Indiana
having formed themselves into an association for protection against the depredations of
Theives, Robbers, Counterfeiters, Incendiaries and all other Criminals and for the purpose
of bringing to justice all such offenders, and aiding each other to the recovery of Stolen
property do mutually pledge themselves to be governed by the following Constitution and
B-Laws..."
Interestingly, Sec. 18 of the By-Laws read: " The Company will not protect any
member's property in a saloon or gambling institution."
