I'll go look in my Boone Co Cemetery books to see if I can find them.

Message Board Post:
I really need some help in Boone Co, IN. I am trying to find information on
John and Malinda (Smith) Rittenhouse. John Rittenhouse is the uncle to Mary
Alice Smith - she was the inspiration for James Whitcomb Riley to write the
poem, Little Orphant Annie. John Rittenhouse is the person who brought Annie to
the Riley home in Nov 1861 for her to "earn her board and keep."
The last information that I have on John and his wife, Malinda (Smith)
Rittenhouse is that they were living in Zionsville in Boone County in 1880.
John was 60 and Malinda was 58, and they had a son, Oliver P.M. who was 15.
Malinda was suffering from paralysis at the time of the census, and John was
working as a "feather renovator."
I would like to find out if they are buried in Boone County - and if yes -
where. Even death dates would be helpful - so I could try to get death
certificates.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
