Hi folks,
First, If you have signed up on the list in the last month send in your
queries, surnames or any information about Boone County that might be of
interest to other researchers.
Second, The Boone County website has some new items and pages have been
revamped.
1) I have added a page specifically for Personal Home Pages for researchers
that have ties to Boone County. We have 2 researcher's in Boone that have
their own family pages. If you have a website please send the information to
me and I will include it on the page.
2) Surname Registry has been divided into 4 separate sites by alphabet.
3) A brand new page is BC Genealogies. Please consider sending in your family
group information in a simple FGS style format.
4) I changed the name of the "local information" page to BC Research Helps. I
have added a link to GNIS's Boone Co map, and other information.
5) And, last but certainly not least, is the 1830 BC census. This information
has been compiled as the census taker took down the information to show what
families were living next to each other, and I have also added an alphabetical
listing to give you a quick glance of who is there and a # in accordance with
the original census. Take a look!
AND, if you have had any "success stories" to tell please send them in to the
list. We are so happy when we find a missing link and that needs to be shared
with the group. It gives us the confidence to keep plugging along with our own
families.
Thanks to all of you for being supportive of me and the BC website. I do
appreciate your thoughts and comments!
