We were in Boone Co. last week; took pictures of tombstones at the Hazel
Dell Cemetery. Rather an interesting place. Is there anyone living in that
area or did live there that can give us a little history on that road.
Rather unusual brick road runs in front of it. Any idea how that happened?
Most of the time we see brick used in towns. How did it happen to be used
on that road?
We are researching the NEVINGER family who are buried there. According to
one of their obits they lived in a farm house next to the cemetery. None of
the houses at this time that are close appear to be old farm houses.
Does someone have available plat books with maps back to the 1890's that
would show which property (farm) they lived on?
Most of the houses at this time are much newer; wondering if the NEVINGERS
old farm house might have been torn down?
